For this weeks blog I’m sharing my favorite and least favorite mascaras. I have tried almost every lash product out there, my lashes are rather short and straight. I’ve tried countless products to get that beautiful, long defined look. Here are some I swear by and some I will steer you clear from.
Hits:
- Clinique High Lengths Mascara $17.50 - This product is my current favorite mascara. Although it is a tad pricey it’s well worth it. The brush is perfectly curved to fit the human eye, and it only has bristles on one side of the brush - weird I know. These bristles are so tiny, and they separate every lash for great definition and length.
2. Benefit Roller Lash Curling Mascara $24.00 - This mascara is similar to the Clinique, but has its own benefits. The brush is similar in that it’s curved, but it is completely covered in small plastic bristles. It separates my lashes and lifts them up for a wide-eyed effect!
3. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara $23.00 - This product makes my lashes super full and voluminous. The brush is soft and hourglass shaped, providing for a lot of drama and impact.
Misses:
- Covergirl Super Sizer Fibers Mascara $6.74 - Let me just say that I don’t think I have ever disliked a product as much as this. I heard great things about it so I figured I’d give it a try, but it does not work for me. It did not give my lashes ANY length like it claims it does. It also made my lashes clump together, I do not recommend.
2. Urban Decay Perversion Mascara $24.00 - This product wasn’t as bad as the cover girl, however I do not recommend this either. The brush is quite large, which I just don’t like because my lashes are so small that the brush just overpowers my eye. It also has a very wet consistency that felt heavy on my lashes and caused them to clump together.
3. L’Oréal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara $8.99 - This Mascara claims to give a winged out effect, and it does not even come close. Similar to the cover girl mascara it causes my lashes to clump together and did not provide me with any length whatsoever.
